IT MATTERS.
At SWYM, our Y is simple, every child deserves safe access to water, the confidence to navigate it, and the opportunity to thrive because of it.
Black children ages 10–14 drown at rates 7x higher than their white peers, and overall, Black youth are significantly less likely to have access to formal swim education. SWYM is working to change that through access, education, and community-driven programs.
We exist to remove barriers, build skills, and create safer futures for youth in and around water.
